Christmas tree theme: “A North Woods Christmas”

Our North Woods tree looked as if it had been recently dug from a pine thicket,“balled and burlapped,” then brought into a cozy cabin! It was filled with animals from the forest: moose, deer, and bears, all cut from wood and handpainted, along with cabins, canoes, hearts and mittens made the same way. We included several rag balls and fabric hearts. Our garland was simply raffia woven throughout the tree.
