Christmas tree theme: “Baking Christmas Cookies”

This tree was born from our family tradition of baking sugar “roll out” cookies every Christmas. We typed up several of our favorite cookie recipes and hung them around the tree. We added many vintage cookie cutters, measuring cups and spoons, and toy rolling pins. Next came the “cookies,” some made from salt dough, and some made from cinnamon and applesauce. Little bags of flour and sugar, a real chef's hat on top and a cookie themed tree skirt underneath finished off the tree. But we weren't done yet! On auction night, we added several dozen freshly baked cookies to the basket by the tree!
